I’m Michael Sroczynski, a racquets professional based in Madison, New Jersey, with more than 15 years of experience leading tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball programs at premier private clubs and high-performance training facilities. Today I serve as Assistant Racquets Professional at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, where I help deliver lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and member events across all three sports.

My coaching roots run deep in junior development. As Senior Director of High-Performance Tennis at Garden State Tennis Academy from 2012 to 2024, I led the top junior training program in New Jersey and helped develop more than 50 state, national, and international boys’ and girls’ junior champions — many of whom went on to play college tennis.

Before coaching, I competed. I was a top-10 nationally ranked USTA junior in every age division and a four-year starter for the University of Michigan Men’s Tennis Team, competing at the NCAA Division 1 level with a Sweet 16 berth in 2008. In 2024 I brought that competitive drive to the platform tennis court, joining the APTA circuit with Team Canoe Brook under Director of Racquets Drew Broderick and winning the Challenger Draw at the Short Hills Invitational.

I hold certifications as a Tennis Professional, PPTR Platform Tennis Professional, and PPR Pickleball Professional, and I’m SafeSport certified. Whether you’re a beginner picking up a racquet for the first time or a junior chasing a national ranking, my job is the same: meet you where you are and build a game you’re proud of.
